Veteran's Day at Garland featuring our very own Ret. 1SG Matt Brown, aka Coach Brown, AND Mrs. Whiteford's Dad. Ret. Colonel Curt Whiteford. Col. Whiteford shared his experiences serving in Iraq. Coach Brown looked amazing in his dress uniform! THANK YOU for your service!! We even had our amazingly talented Mrs Roche sing the national anthem. Such a cool day! ❤️
To connect their literacy learning and current events, 3rd grade held an election event today...voting on 3rd grade-appropriate issues like "hats in school." Our teachers are so good at connecting learning to real life experiences!
1st grade DLI learned about Dia de Los Muertos by remembering loved family members and pets who have passed on.
More Halloween fun at Garland--Our Prep Teachers and Custodians are amazing! Annnd Shrek and Fiona (Mrs Freeze and Ms Nikki) again just because it was so amazing.
